Battles are played using Gloamryn’s original card-based system, where unit abilities, equipment, and faction tactics make every fight unpredictable.
The world is home to many factions – most are hostile, but not always. Each faction has a unique way of fighting and a distinct role in the game. Some are key to progressing the campaign or side quests, while others offer trade opportunities or access to rare resources.
Resource scarcity, magic, and trade are crucial for survival. New units join through quests or are born into the world, adding a long-term progression element.
